Noel King was born
and lives in Tralee, Co Kerry, Ireland. In 2015 he reached his 1000th
publication of a poem, haiku or short story in magazines and journals
in thirty-eight countries. Along the way he has been a singer with the
famous Bunratty Castle
Entertainers and has worked as an arts administrator and poetry editor.
He has edited more
than fifty books of work by others and was poetry editor of Revival
Literary Journal (Limerick Writers' Centre) in 2012/13.
Anthology publications include The Second Genesis: An
Anthology of Contemporary World Poetry (AR.A.W.,India, 2014).
His poetry
collections are published by Salmon: Prophesying
the Past (2010), The
Stern Wave
(2013) and Sons
(2015).
His poems have been translated into Russian and other European languages.
He has been a
prizewinner in the William Allingham Short Story Competition. In 2011
he was shortlisted for the Gregory O'Donoghue International Poetry Prize.
